I used to use FCP I found it to be overly complicated to do simple tasks. I manly focus on print design so I have not used it for several years.
Recently I have had to make several projects and I found that Premier CS5 was actually a very strong video editing package. It runs smooth, has a clean Adobe interface and everything worked out great.
While I like CS5, I absolutely hate Adobe due to their ultra crappy Indian based tech support. If you buy $10,000 worth of software from a company you don't expect them to charge you $39 just to talk to a person who is getting paid $1 per hour to read a script.
The Adobe interface is certainly nice, but Premiere does so many weird things that I can't stand it for everything it does differently and right (try duplicating a sequence, editing title tool text, and NOT have it be destructive in your older sequences). The interface is so similar to FCP now that it certainly helps ease users into it. Where with Avid I think there is a bit of a learning curve to anyone looking to switch or have to start using that software in a pinch as a freelancer.
While I love the 'no rendering' aspect of using the complete CS package, it is only practical on personal projects. Anything where I am collaborating with clients and additional graphic designers, I can't have them be updating AE comps within my sequence through dynamic link while I'm working on other things in editorial. Just not practical.

You don't need to unlock iPad. They aren't locked in the first place, unless you bought one in Japan.

I have a Mac Pro Quad core (early2009) with 1 gt120
As i understand it that there isnt a way to get 4 separate projectors (non-mirrored) with just this setup and a cheap DVI to 2 VGA splitter.
If i have 2 gt120s will i be able to run a 4 screen setup?
If so whats the cheapest way to get this setup to work?
Thanks
Miles

The thing is, all these games are available for free online for your mac. I suppose if you want to play them on your ipad or phone that's one thing. If that doesn't matter, you can get your nostalgia for free. Same goes for NES, Coleco, Super NES, and Genesis emulators.
They may be available for free, but that doesn't really mean they are available legally. :)

It is a bummer that there is no way to use the subscriptions to track replies that quote your post.

I got a weird bug. Sometimes my albums in the photos app go right to the top of the screen and show underneath the 'menubar' at the top so I can tap on it and open the first album in the list. If I pull it back down on the rubberband effect it still goes to the top of the screen?! I have to restart my phone for it to reset and its still hit and miss whether it works.
I do too

Never mind. It's actually a script I needed to run in the terminal.

It would be really weird if Pegatron don't get a lot more information, and sooner, about Apple's product cycle than people reading tech blogs. The earlier released expected numbers were most likely already based on a new iPhone being released later this year.
Also, potential buyers of iPhones aren't scouring tech blogs for rumors about when the next iPhone will be launched. Nor do I see salespersons advice them to wait until September.

Just go to File>Print, there will be an option to print a list of songs sorted by your preference.
Good luck!

Why does this forum still exist?
iphone 3G Launch Meetups...not happenning anymore
Then why did you bother to post a thread. They can always change the name to 3rd gen or use it for other things. :)

Does XCode or interface builder include a grid object or data grid object? Are there any third-party developers who offer those objects?

I agree.
Please tell me why you find it acceptable to use homophobic slurs.
So violence is an acceptable solution? So I can beat Gay persons up (Don't twist this analogy, I've stated numerous times on this board, I'm all for Gay rights), I just can't, in their opinion, verbally insult them?
I have been physically assaulted in the past by straight people using those slurs. I have received death threats as well. You have no idea what that is like, not one ****ing clue. Get over yourself. Anyone who calls me ****** is gonna get a very firm talking to. If they continue, worse. Sorry if you don't like that, but I'm not going to put up with it. I will defend myself against such people. Again, why do you find the use of homophobic slurs acceptable?
Also, would you use the N word in the presence of a black person and not expect a negative reaction? Why do you think we should be any different?

Thank you, Apple, for weeding out the companies whose business model depends on selling my information to junk-mailers.
This is the kind of 'crazy-Steve-Jobs-control' I can live with.
I agree wholeheartedly. Despite the fact that I work for the same company that owns the FT, I am disgusted by this reasoning. I definitely won't be subscribing to the pink paper any time soon.

I don't make a living with Photoshop, but it is a pretty serious side activity of mine, and as I said before, for what it is, Photogene is perfectly adequate for the general iPad user.
Unless they can add color profiles, different colorspaces other than RGB (LAB, CMYK, et al.), Photoshop for professional use will never get off the ground on a device like this.
Not to say you should be able to do a complete workflow from import to print on a tablet device, which, at least for now, seems completely unrealistic -- but I would think pros need to be able to import, see colors in a reasonable approximation for proofing or showing to clients, and maybe make spot edits based on client feedback.
I honestly wasn't too thrilled with Photoshop Express, which is why when I saw Photogene, I was immediately impressed with is features.
