The backlog centers have 10 fed govt employees and 100 guys from Exceed unless I am egregiously mistaken.
Why does any one think that those 100 guys will be left out with out any jobs? Wont the 10 fed guys be moved to Chicago/Atlanta NPC's with huge reloc benefits package? If they dont choose to move because of personal reasons, Do you know what kind of severance packages they get?
100 guys from Exceed will be definitely working for other fed agencies after they are done with this gig. IRS has a huge base in Philly and Exceed is a govt contractor. May be IT consultants need to learn from these folks..

I am proud of my 4 year old girl. She has written a letter to the President. When a 4 year old can write , we have 25k adult members and only about 500 of them have sent letters! Why ?

I understand, you are reading this post, but don't have a printer at home to print ? Ok, now open hotmail , gmail or yahoo mail, compose a mail to your work address. Just add this word document, and send a email to your work email address with the word document attached. when you see this email at work, just print 2 copies of the attachment, thats all you have to do.

I think your only option would be to get your AP sent to you in Canada if you will not be able to get your H1 from the Embassy. The visa is what allows you to get in and out of the U.S and they cannot let you back in if you don't have the stamp.

I came to Montreal to have my H1 stamping done and am stuck here since 3/18. They told me they want to search the company and will call me back with in 10 days but no response yet.

This meeting is very important especially in light of recent remarks from Sen. Harry Reid. We have to find out more information on the background discussions on this. There is a possibility that either Administration is serious about it and wants to give time for people to come with a consensus or this delay may cost us this year's CIR.

Try to file for a change of status from H-1 to H-4, include the hospital records and letter from the employer that your wife is on maternity leave, see what happens. If that does not work then you can think of leaving for a visa, you will not be barred for 10 years as you have not accrued unlawful presence, this is only accrued if your I-94 expires or the USCIS determines that you are out of status. However, going outside the country is risky as you may not get a visa and may get stuck outside the country. I would try to do the COS first.

Is there any impact on AC-21 guys.... I changed my attorney to Fragomen after using AC-21....
My labor filed back in 2002 by different attorney and approved in a year.... Now I wonder if there is any impact on my case since I'm using Fragomen as my attorney while AOS is pending....
as per the article..fragomen didn't file labor or 140 , as it was filed by my employer ...so i hope it should be fine!

I also got RFE from VSC for AP reg PP clear copies. In my case, lawyer asked to send me clear copies of bigraphic info which means first and last page of PP showing photo and name and other info. I scanned and sent color images to my lawyer. So strange that all VSC people are getting this RFE.
Online status simply shows, recieved and pending.. Does not reflect the RFE at all.

I understand a fixed proposal is not in place yet. Is it not wise to propose a bill ASAP before rally? Are there any benchmarks for rally? Having a fixed proposal in hand may will help clear representation.
Law-makers may not understand, if we just say, expedite our GC applications. They understand bills.
Note: When supporters of illegal immigrantion did the rally, they wanted CIR to be passed.
As mentioned before, I have good faith in IV & attending rally. So, people dont drag around it.
The clear answer is:
We are doing this rally to get greencards.
Do you want to get it or not?
If yes, then come.
If no, then go back to where you came from.

i would say apply for the Eb2. I am on Eb3 right now and i will plan to apply for eb2 after Dec 2008.
I have 3 years degree (15 year education). I am not sure if I can file on EB2.
You have filed on EB3 & planning to file on EB2; could you please share the logic for this & why are you waiting end of 2008, please share the reason, so if needed I can also plan something like you.

I spoke with the lawyer. She asked me to get an affidavit stating the arrest reason and also what happened. She will send this as soon she gets my receipt number.
I am not having any case/docket number since this happened 4 years back.
Lawyer is saying this should be ok and this falls under misdemeanor.
Any suggestion?

My wife's EAD just got approved. Now I have to get her a SSN so she can start working part time. Firstly I should ask can she get a SSN provided her I-485 application is filed and she has a valid EAD ? Any idea how long it takes to get the dang SSN ? I appreciate your help as always.

My PERM approval came through Aug 14, so all done in a hurry. 140/485 (concurrent-mailed) /ead/ap sent aug 16th, received on aug 17.
Since it was done quickly, couldn't wait for PERM hard copy approval (came 1 wk later), 140 was submitted without PERM approval hard copy. lawyer included printout of ETA 9089 approval/form from online with OBM approval number on it, signed by me/employer. Also included screen shot from DOLETA of perm approval.
My question...from anyone else's experience/info
Will I get a RFE for the PERM LC hard copy or a rejection?
How does that affect my pending EAD/485? think i know answer..all goes down, right?

Members should not write to them IMO. IV as an org should try contacting them for a face time.
You cannot even get tickets to Colbert's show(Sold out for the next few months). There is just the studio location listed for now:
513 West 54th Street, between 10th Ave and 11th Ave in midtown New York.
